Better Picture Please?

[edit]

Can't anyone PLEASE provide a picture of Marti that wouldn't frighten the kids? He used to be so good looking, there has to be a better recent pic of him than the one here. He looks like a skeletal corpse, with dirty teeth. He's surely got back on his feet a bit - and had a wash - since this dreadful picture was taken. It's shocking. Awful. Someone please give the poor old bastard a break... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.12.192.73 (talk) 21:20, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism and media attention

[edit]

This article appears under-watched. We got some media attention to the article saying Marti was dead for five hours on Friday 12-Jan-2007 ... probably doesn't need more than a watchful eye - David Gerard 12:00, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And it took five days for that message to get posted. If a fake report of his death is needed to get some help around here, I'm all for it. - Dudesleeper 12:44, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago

[edit]

According to his official site Marti sang in the musical Chicago - both in London and New York - in 2002, not in 2004, with some reappearances in London in 2004 and a tour through Britain and performances in Tokyo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.164.165.214 (talk) 17:54, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a link that shows that he was at Broadway in 2004 after his 2003 performances had to be rescheduled because of a musicians strike. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.164.148.203 (talk) 20:45, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Between the Covers.jpg

[edit]

Image:Between the Covers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

new structure

[edit]

Hi Dudesleeper, I like the new more structured look of the article.

I have two comments at the moment:

Solo Career

[edit]

In the first sentence the year is missing. "November of that year", but which year? If the earlier statement was correct, it was in 1999. Could you check this?

Wet Wet Wet

[edit]

I wonder in what way you would want to expand this section. I would not expand it too much. There is the Wet Wet Wet article for this.

What on earth is going on with this article? Marti is noteworthy enough to have a decent biography on here. Warts and all or it’s a waste of time. 2A02:C7F:5E8D:9C00:3DD7:F76F:6C4D:E236 (talk) 20:48, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
